Is it just me or these younger gen Zs are super sensitive???
The Clinic Manager came to see me in my treatment room earlier, she told me one of the MAs complained to her that she was hurt when I told her “are you that big that you can’t squeeze in?”
While in the copying machine, I noticed this MA behind me, maybe I was standing there for some time that she asked me to move a little as she wanted to go back to her desk… I said “why my dear are you that big that you cannot squeeze in???” She was able to go back to her seat but OMG I didn’t realize she took that comment seriously. She is podgy but really not obese or morbidly obese.

So is it just me or is younger Gen Zs are super sensitive??? Or am I just too insensitive??? The Manager agreed that these generations have been babied or pampered too much that they are sensitive physically and mentally.
Obesity is an important issue which I always discussed with most of my patient that I do not necessarily make a dark humor about it, I take it seriously that one patient complained to his health insurance and transferred care to another PCP. Oh well, obesity is part of any HEDIS.
I apologized to the MA. But told her she needed to toughen up and thicken her skin to conquer the adult world. I know its better to be sensitive than insensitive!
