escharred…

It’s been raining crazy lately… and so in Ande’s heart.

Recent weeks brought in sadness to her heart — PotPot leaving back for Japan, then, she heard the news about the death of a childhood friend and another close friend in coma.

It all went BANG! BANG! BANG! Injuring the already weak heart.

I came home one afternoon finding a chocolate cake in the counter, by the looks of it you can tell its freshly baked, you can still see the small cracks on it dome.  Later that day I was telling Ande that the cake is missing its chocolate filling and frosting just like Mommy would bake it.  She said “nahhh I will make the filling later”.

The next day I found the cake with a fudgy chocolate frosting, so I thought, I grabbed a plastic fork to cut a bite, “click” the fork broke!  To my disbelief the frosting hardened like a cement!

No one attempted to touch the chocolate cake for days… the poor thing was even subjected to ridicule. After 3 days that it was sitting there escharred, I decided to release it from its pains, it was like a huge scab was off its head leaving a scar behind.

Same as Ande’s heart soon it will all be scars, hopefully she won’t be scarred for life. She will soon bury her childhood friend, then another friend. The good side of having scars in life is — it will remain as a reminder that you needed to pick up yourself, like the chocolate cake, hope is in the air. She has no regrets, she was able to talk to her friends and somehow patched up their differences.

In the blink of an eye, everything can change. So forgive often and love with all your heart. You may never have that chance again…

If you love me, let me know.
